2. What do I need to bring with me?

You need to bring enough food for your dog's stay and something for them to sleep on. Bring any toys or treats you think they would like during their stay. We have plenty of stainless steel bowls here for food and drink! Unfortunately we cannot accept bones in the kennel as they cause too many disruptions.

3. What vaccinations does my dog need to have?

Please ensure your dog is vaccinated against the following:

  • Rabies
  • Kennel Cough (Bordetella)
  • DHLPP

4. How much time will my dog get outside?

Dogs get plenty of playtime outside. We are a small kennel so we don't board a huge number of dogs. Each gets their own one on one time outside in the day, where they can play with a toy of their choice or just have a cuddle. Social dogs are also let out in groups together. We make sure they make the most of the exercise paddock and run and play to their hearts content.

5. How do you know my dog will get along with others?

The simple answer to this is we don't! Dogs are like humans they have preferences of their own of who they get on with. Not all dogs will get along! We try and best match similar personalities together, i.e young playful groups or older more mature groups. We introduce dogs slowly and carefully so it's safe for all.

6. What should I expect on my first visit?

On your first visit you should allow extra time to settle your dog. We are open by appointment only so we can control who goes in & out and we don't have a number of guest all arriving or leaving at the same time. You should be prepared to explore the kennel with your dog, settle them into their kennel and fill out the boarding agreement if you haven't already. If you dog has never kennelled before we can do free introductory sessions where your dog can be left for an hour at a time so they get used to kennelling and realise you are going to come back! Please call and ask for more details.

7. I don't know which type of boarding would best suit my dog?

Private suites are our chainlink free option. Older, calmer dogs are best suited to the suites. The suites are located in the reception away from the main kennel, so therefore quitter. Due to their location only social dogs can use the suites. Suites are not good for young dogs who may get bored and damage the furniture, plus it is not good for the escape artists!

The kennels are ideal for younger more active dogs who like to go out and play and then come back for a bit of a rest time. Your dog will still get socialised with other dogs, but we find its best for all residents to have some down time. The private suites have many chewable items, so kennels are better for those who may get bored. Kennels are also best for non-social dogs that like their own space.

8. Do you supply food?

No, you must provide an adequate amount of food for your dogs stay. A sudden change in diet can be bad for a dog's digestive system. We ask you bring enough food, plus a little extra just in case you are delayed. We also ask that you let us know the brand of food, so should we run out, we will purchase the same or nearest alternative and you can reimburse us when you collect your pet.

9. How many dogs do you accommodate at one time?

We are only a small kennel and we like to keep it this way so every pet gets the love and attention they deserve. We have two private suites and 7 traditional kennels.
